WHEN TO VISIT?
The 2026 Ibiza season runs from the last week of April through to early October, but choosing when to visit can really define your trip.
APRIL–MAY
The start of the season.
Excitement is brewing but the island is a little quieter, the evenings are slightly cooler, and there’s more room to explore Ibiza at a slower pace. It’s the perfect time to experience a different side of the island before the season fully kicks off.
Most weekly residencies haven’t started yet, which means plenty of one off parties and unusual lineups and the dancefloors aren't completely packed.
MAY–JUNE
Arguably one of the best times to go, just before things reach peak summer madness.
With residencies and opening parties kicking off, the island is in full swing without becoming overwhelming.
JULY–AUGUST
These are the busiest months of the Ibiza season, but also some of the most exciting. Every club is packed, every lineup stacked and it's non stop from day to night.
Accommodation costs more and tickets may already be on their seventh release. But if you don’t mind the chaos, this is Ibiza, just remember to bring a fan.
SEPTEMBER–OCTOBER
For closing it can feel like DJs and venues pull out all the stops and if you havn’t done closing before, we’d defintely reccommend.
The island may seem quieter during the day, but that’s usually because everyone is inside the venues or recovering from the morning. Amnesia Closing remains one of the island’s most iconic closing parties, and with Pacha's multi day closing events, closing is really hard to beat.
WHERE TO STAY?
Chances are if you're on HOUSEPARTY.GUIDE, you're heading to Ibiza for the music. If that's the case, we'd recommend staying in one of two areas, depending on where you'll be spending most of your nights.
Sant Antoni de Portmany
Sant Antoni is the best choice if you're looking for more affordable accommodation, a younger crowd, and plan to spend most of your time at O Beach, Es Paradis, UNVRS, 528, and the surrounding venues.
One thing people underestimate is the cost of getting around the island. Late night taxis can quickly add up, so staying closer to the clubs you'll visit most often can save both time and money.
Playa d'en Bossa
If your plans are more centred around Hï, DC10, Ushuaïa, Pacha, and Chinois, Playa d'en Bossa is probably the better fit. It's home to some of the island's best hotels, has a more laid back daytime atmosphere, and puts you within easy reach of many of Ibiza's biggest clubs.

WHERE TO GO OUT?
We think the biggest mistake people make, especially on their first trip, is choosing clubs simply because they've seen them on social media or heard they're the places to be, without checking who's actually playing.
The lineup, residency, and crowd can be the difference between the best night of your trip and heading home early.
Even beach clubs like O Beach and Blue Marlin can have a completely different atmosphere depending on the day. One event might lean towards vocal house, another Afro House, another commercial, and another tech house. Understanding the music and the vibe is just as important as choosing the venue itself.
